Prince Olusegun Michael Adeniyi Elected World Councillor on InSEA Executive Board

Prince Olusegun Michael Adeniyi has been elected as a World Councillor to serve on the Executive Board of the International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA).

Prince Olusegun is one of three distinguished members elected to represent Africa and the Middle East (AME) on the InSEA World Council for a two-year term. InSEA, a UNESCO-affiliated global organization, is structured into six world regions—Asia, Africa and the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, North America, and South-East Asia & the Pacific—each represented by three elected World Councillors on the Executive Board.

An award-winning art educator, Prince Olusegun Michael Adeniyi brings to this prestigious role over two decades of dedication to transformative art education. Renowned for his innovative integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into visual arts, his impact has transcended classrooms—empowering young learners, transforming communities, and influencing policy on a national and international scale. 

Prince Olusegun is committed to pushing the frontiers of eco-friendly lifestyle through sustainability projects, deploying art for climate change advocacy, advancing the learning field of art, and raising the standard of art education in Nigeria and beyond. His work fuses creativity with purpose, using art to advocate for environmental conservation, cultural identity, literacy, mental health, and child empowerment.

His groundbreaking projects in Nigeria and beyond have garnered him numerous accolades, including Global Winner of the Outstanding Innovator of the Year at the 2023 Pearson International School Teacher Awards, two-time recipient of the President Teacher Excellence Award (2019 and 2022), two-time recipient of the David Shepherd Award (2020 and 2021), 2024 ICA Awards Finalist, 2022 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award Finalist and 2021 $1 Million Global Teacher Prize Finalist, to mention but a few. 

As a World Councillor, Prince Olusegun is poised to amplify the voices of African and Middle Eastern art educators, foster inclusive collaborations across regions, and inspire a new wave of creativity-driven global citizenship. His appointment marks a new chapter in championing equity, innovation, and sustainability through art on the global stage.
