#Fashion report: Henrik Vibskov f/w 20-21
Having previously been stirred by scenes from the kitchen and the bathroom, for f/w 20-21 Henrik Vibskov’s inspiration continues into the bathroom. The deeply personal rituals of washing and getting ready for the day ahead is what motivated him and the team for this collection.
Henrik Vibskov’s collection reflects the theme: ‘Please Remove Before Washing’ in several ways; Henrik’s jacquards were inspired by vintage bathrooms in structure, colour and pattern, prints of dripping water, combs, soap bubbles, toilet paper, toothbrushes and steam.
95% of all styles in this collection are made from sustainable materials. For example, the fabrics for the outerwear are produced from 100% recycled PET bottles and recycled wool from Norway, where the sheep graze freely in the beautiful landscape.
Henrik Vibskov fashion show is trying to adapt a design approach for a fashion collection versus an installation or exhibition. This installation takes you into a surreal bath house of organically shaped bathtubs and showers. Performers emerge from the baths carrying out a ritualistic routine – each in their own world – though united though rhythm, body movement and pulse.
