Happiness or Success: Happy People Achieve Good Results!

Happiness or Success: Happy People Achieve Good Results!

Which comes first – happiness or success?

“Work hard, become successful, and then you’ll be happy.” – You’ve heard that, haven’t you? The idea that we must pursue success in order to experience happiness is widely spread in our society. Happiness is the ultimate goal of virtually all the decisions we make in life. But for some reasons, both success and happiness remain perpetually out of reach for many of us. Let’s follow things and see how they really are.

The good life, as I conceive it, is a happy life. I do not mean that if you are good you will be happy; I mean that if you are happy you will be good

Bertrand Russell ( philosopher – 1951)

In this direction, many studies, experiments, and research projects have been done, and they all show the following correlation:

  • Happiness Increases Productivity. Happier people get more done, and get it done better than most. Happiness is associated with excellent work performance. Happy people achieve better results! Happiness makes our performance in every area of our lives better. Excitement, joy, and serenity promote success in any direction of life.
  • Happy people are healthier.
  • Happy people experience more positive emotions and fewer negative ones.
  • Happier people are more satisfied with their lives, they also receive greater social support from friends, coworkers, better performance evaluations from other people.
  • Happy people have higher vibrations and achieve everything with greater ease. With them, things just happen.
  • People with better well-being also tend to earn bigger salaries than those with lower well-being.
  • Happy people find it easier to go above and beyond…
  • Happiness is of a multiplying nature; when watered, it can grow all over the entire environment.

Again, which comes first – happiness or success? There are many techniques and factors for being able to make yourself HAPPY. The truth is that it requires more skills than conditions.

  1. Gratitude
  2. Love
  3. Looking for the good things and for the good in things. We get what we look for.
  4. Stability of beautiful values.
  5. Emotional intelligence – understanding our feelings
  6. Personal development
  7. Self discipline
  8. Empathy
  9. Sticking with good and healthy habits!
  10. Open mind
  11. Physical Exercise
  12. Learning something new every day

You can continue your list …. But because we, the Team of know-how GET IN SHAPE  are experts in sports & health, let’s stick to number

How Physical Exercise Increases Happiness.

As we know exercise is strongly linked to happiness. There is a great relationship between being physically active and being happy! Small amounts of exercise could have an outsize effect on happiness. The type of exercise does not matter – walking or jogging, practicing fitness, yoga, aerobics, dancing, practicing all kind of sports…

  • Exercise improves health.
  • Gives a better Mood
  • Increases Energy and power
  • Look better
  • Improves the Immune System
  • Better self confidence and self respect
  • Keeps our metabolism high
  • Improves our posture
  • Relieves stress anxiety, and beats depression
  • Helps you sleep better
  • Improves our blood flow
  • Improves our heart health
  • Makes us look, and feel younger
  • Improves quality of life

People who work out even once or twice a week, or for only 10-15 minutes a day tend to be more cheerful than those who never exercise. And any type of exercise may be helpful.

Of course, training for better health, good shape and happiness is different from turning this process into our nightmare, grief, obsession and making us feel exhausted, hungry, miserable and finally unhappy. Studies show that people with overtraining syndrome have high levels of tension, depression, fatigue, confusion, and loss of vigour. If you’re an overachiever, you might get frustrated that your performance isn’t great and, as a result, push yourself even harder. GET IN SHAPE for a better life!

Happiness or Success? Why The Stress Of Dieting Is Making Us Miserable?

Less talked about is the impact that dieting can have on our mental health. Researchers have demonstrated that the impact of dieting is both physiological and psychological. Even if you aren’t restricting your diet, the act of tracking what you eat can stress you out and affect your mental well-being.

Many of the most popular diets aren’t marketed as diets but as supposedly healthy lifestyles: keto (low-carb, high-fat), paleo (low-carb, high-protein, also known as the “caveman” diet), intermittent fasting (limiting one’s “eating” window, usually to eight hours, followed by 16 hours of fasting), dairy-free, sugar-free, nut-free, gluten-free, raw food, Whole30, and alkaline.

No longer counts calories or binges on junk food? THE KEY about food

Eating whole foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, minimising processed goods, choosing food with Organic origin, eating regularly and in moderation. (Follow more on the topic of optimal nutrition in some of our next articles.) Food can be a beautiful thing. It’s meant to enhance our lives and fuel our bodies. It’s not meant to make us miserable!

Another scenario might be : What Are Your Expectations?

When you work to try to lose weight, eat well, and get fit and aren’t getting the results as quickly as you’d like, it certainly can affect your mood. The number on the scale should go down, your clothes should fit less snugly, you should feel stronger and look more buff. The problem is, it can take at least two or three months for those things to happen. In the meantime, if you begin to feel discouraged you can easily become down and depressed.

One way to avoid this is to reset your goals for the time being: Focus on feeling good and being healthy, both of which you can achieve pretty quickly simply by making better lifestyle choices. Try taking off the pressure, you can learn to enjoy the changes you’re making, which should encourage you to stick to them. Before you know it, your consistency will pay off in a body that not only feels and performs better but looks better too. Explore Choosing Happiness.

Bonus: THE POWER OF HABIT!

More simple actions repeated every day have the capacity to achieve complex results! By building positive habits, we can change our emotional state and bundle the fast-firing neurons in our brain to make happiness a permanent trait. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
